Algulose obtained from fresh alga Cystoseira barbata was found to concentrate more intensively and to fix weaker isotopes of a number of biogenic elements (Mn⁵⁴, Co⁵⁷) as compared with samples obtained from decomposing organisms. The barium complex of fucoidan may be a Mn⁵⁴ and Co⁵⁷ concentrator in C. barbata and C.corniculata.
