The total dry mass of copepods in about 30% of the wet one. The caloricity is at an average 4.4 cal·mg-1 of dry mass. In animals of the same size the losses for the energy metabolism increase with temperature. These expenses rise regularly with the age of the animals, the value of the energy expense for the growth comfortably lowers.Показано, что сырая масса рачков пропорциональна их длине в степени, близкой к 3.
