For the next 8-20 hours the protein consumption intensity is considerably reduced, the consumption of lipid stops which is probably connected with energy and plastic liver reserves exhaustion. The above periods conform to two phases of squids' fasting.При содержании кальмаров Sthenoteuthis oualaniensis в проточных ваннах в первое время (1—7 ч) резко уменьшается сухая масса печени, что связано с расходованием главным образом белковых, а также жировых резервов. В последующее время (8—20 ч) интенсивность расходования белка значительно снижается, а жира — прекращается вовсе, что, очевидно, обусловлено исчерпанием энергетических и пластических резервов печени.
