A relationship is established between the quantitative content of carotenoids in the studied mussels and their physiological state, phenotype, shell length, sex and habitation conditions.На основании многолетних наблюдений (1985—1987 гг.) дана сравнительная характеристика каротиноидной пигментации мягких тканей черноморской мидии из естественных и искусственных субстратов. Установлена зависимость содержания каротиноидов в теле моллюсков от сезона года, физиологического состояния, фенотипической принадлежности и длины раковины.ru
