Helminthofauna of Trachurus mediterraneus ponticus varies with the host's age. Infestation takes place at the stage of fry with the body length from 1 to 2 cm. The so-called fry parasites inhabite fry up to the age of one year. Beginning from this age it takes helminthes, which compose the base of its helmintho-fauna in the future life. Qualitative and quantitative changes of the helmintho-fauna were observed with variation in its spectrum of nutrition, ecology and biology.ru
