| dc.description | The amounts of “new” production in the surface layer of the Black Sea in late summer have been estimated on the basis of direct quantitative determination of nitrate consumption rate made during the 32d voyage of the research ship «Professor Vodyanitsky» in the coastal and open parts of the Black Sea. Absolute values of nitrate consumption rates varied according to the level of nitrates replenishment in the photic zone from 5.6 ng-at. N/(1 • h) within the limits of the cast stationary circulation to 28.2 ng-at. N/(1 • h) in the shelf front zone in the region of the Kalamitsky Bay. A direct dependence of the nitrate consumption rate on chlorophyll a and BOC concentration has been obtained. Specific consumption per BOA unit was at an average 0.0037 + 0.00017 h-1 in all the considered regions. It is concluded that the amount of «new» production in various production zones is controlled by the change of phytoplankton mass according to arrival of nitrates into the photosynthesis zone. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | В статье представлены результаты первых прямых определений величин новой продукции в прибрежной и открытой частях Черного моря в позднелетний период, полученных на основе измерения скоростей потребления микропланктоном нитратов, меченных тяжелым изотопом азота 15N. В приповерхностном слое Черного моря абсолютные величины скорости изменялись соответственно уровню пополнения фотической зоны нитратами от 5,6 до 28,2 нг-ат N • л-1 • ч-1 и положительно коррелировали с концентрацией хлорофилла а и ВОС. При этом удельное потребление на единицу BOA составляло в среднем 0,0037 ± 0,00017 ч во всех рассмотренных районах. | en_US |
