dc.description | Sorption properties of some polysuccharides of brown and red algae in relation to Ca⁴⁵, Mn⁵⁴, Co⁵⁷ and Sr⁹⁰ were studied in the paper. Algulose obtained from fresh alga Cystoseira barbata was found to concentrate more intensively and to fix weaker isotopes of a number of biogenic elements (Mn⁵⁴, Co⁵⁷) as compared with samples obtained from decomposing organisms. The barium complex of fucoidan may be a Mn⁵⁴ and Co⁵⁷ concentrator in C. barbata and C.corniculata. Due to Co⁵⁷ high concentrator factors and strong fixation by some species of polysuccharides, possibility of their concentration in marine sublittoraly with algae decay and detritus formation should be fakent into account. | en_US |
