Sexual features of the chemical content of a Black Sea flounder — kalkan Psetta maeotica (Pallas) are examined. Red and white muscles, liver, and gonads of males and females of various stages of maturity are investigated. It is shown that the chemical content of the investigated tissues is greatly determined by sexual features that is the reflection of close functional and metabolic relations in organism during gonadogenesis.
