dc.descriptionMacrozoobenthos composition in the coastal zone of the Black Sea with different levels of oil pollution of bottom sediments has been observed under natural conditions. These observations have permitted concluding that no radical changes in benthic communities occur with amounts of chloroform-extracted substances of about hundredths of a gramm per 100 g of dry sediment. Degradation of benthic communities is observed when the content of these substances is about tenths of a gramm per 100 g, but if the concentration is expressed by gramms per 100 g the macrozoobenthos is practically absent.en_US
