Description
The growth of 6 species of Bacillariophyta and Pyrrophyta was studied in the Goldberg culture medium as well as in the oxidized aquatic medium from the reduction zone of the Black Sea (1000 m). The last medium was more favorable than the former for all the species under consideration. The reduction zone medium consists, probably, of more and better balanced natural ingredients in comparison with the artificial Goldberg medium based on the surface sea water and biogenic substances enrichment. Ecological and maricultural aspects of this investigation are marked.
