Description
The contain of carotenoids in mature gonads of collector's Mydias (L= 45—90 mm) varies in great scales in different seasons. It is not depended on the sex, size age of Molluscs. Gonads mature degree (in prespawning stage) has no influence on pigments level in these organs. Seasonal dynamics of carotenoids contain in Mydia’s gonads reflects the phytoplankton quantity and biomass changes in the region of the sea-husbandry.
