dc.descriptionTritia reticulata (Gastropoda) is widely distributed in various biotopes of the Black Sea and differs by its high resistance to unfavourable conditions, which makes it a convenient object when studying the effect of environmental fluctuations on the organism and population. The paper deals with the data on distribution, size and sex composition of the Tritia reticulata population under different ecological conditions and with the results of experimental studies on the Tritia reticulata survival under oil and phenol pollution as compared with other mollusk species. The number of Tritia is the highest at small depths (less than 20 m) and muddy grounds. With a rise in the content of chloroform extractable substances in the ground the number and biomass of Tritia increase but the dimensions and individual body mass decrease. The experimental works show that Tritia is much more resistant to hydrocarbon pollution than other mollusk species. Resistance of Tritia to changes in living conditions results in the fact that under certain changes in bottom sediments chemism it occupies the ecological niche vacated by other species and becomes a dominating species of the biocenosis.en_US
dc.description.abstractАнализируется распространение, размерный и половой состав популяции брюхоногого моллюска Tritia reticulata в различных экологических условиях. Приводятся результаты экспериментальных работ по выживаемости этого вида моллюсков при нефтяном и фенольном загрязнении в сравнении с другими моллюсками. Выяснено, что трития весьма вынослива к перемене условий обитания и потому при изменении химизма донных осадков занимает освобожденную другими видами экологическую нишу, причем происходит увеличение ее численности, но уменьшение размеров и индивидуальной массы.en_US
