| dc.description | A comparatively high production (100-1000 mgC·m-2 per day) was noted in the Canary Current area with the maximum values between Dakar and the Cape Verde Islands. The production was high (to 100 mgC·m-2) in the central part of the Gulf of Guinea and the middle regions of the south-eastern anticyclonic gyre. The neritic regions of the south-western African coast were most heterogeneous in production which ranged from 43 to 17 873 mgC·m-2 per day. The most intensive photosynthesis was obviously confined to the near-mouth areas of the rivers of Ogova (1588), Congo (695), Cunene (2771) and Orange (17 873 mgC·m-2 per day). The diurnal rhythm of production reveals its sharp increase in the series of the samples taken during the evening hours and a similar decrease in the samples taken at night or before dawn. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Сравнительно высокая продукция (100-1000 мгС·м-2 в сутки) наблюдалась в области Канарского течения с максимальными показателями в районе между Дакаром и островами Зеленого Мыса. Невысокой продуктивностью (до 100 мгС·м-2) отличались центральные участки Гвинейского залива и срединные районы юго-восточного антициклонального круговорота. Наиболее неоднородными по продукции были неритические области юго-западного побережья Африки, где ее показатели изменялись от 43 до 17 873 мгС·м-2 в сутки. Причем наиболее интенсивный фотосинтез был явно приурочен к приустьевым пространствам рек Огова (1588), Конго (695), Кунене (2771) и Оранжевой (17 873 мгС·м-2 в сутки). В суточном ритме продукции отмечено резкое ее увеличение в сериях проб, взятых в вечерние часы, и такое же уменьшение в пробах, собранных ночью или перед рассветом. | |
