dc.descriptionNew data on the distribution of some ommastrephid species are obtained. Illex illecebrosus illecebrosus is found on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (48°30’-56°N), I. i. coindeti — off Namibia (17°30’ S), I. i. argentinus, known to be a bottom inhabitant, was taken from the surface over the shelf and the oceanic depths. Todaropsis eblanae was found in the south-western Indian Ocean (Saya-de-Malha and Nazareth banks) and in the Timor Sea; Todarodes angolensis — off New Zealand, Auckland and Campbell Islands, to the south-west and south of Tasmania; Nototodarus sloani (probably a distinct subspecies) — off Southern Somali and on the Saya-de-Malha Bank, Eucleoteuthis luminosa — in the south-eastern Indian Ocean and off the Norfolk Island. Todarodes sagittatus is found to be widely distributed on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and on the underwater elevations of the nontropical North Atlantic, particularly, on the Kelvin Mts and the Corner Rise. New data on the range of the southern form of Ommastrephes bartrami are presented: squids from the Indian Ocean part of its range are separated from those inhabiting the SW Pacific. Spawning swarms of this species were observed off the Izu and the Norfolk Islands.
dc.description.abstractПолучены новые данные о распространении ряда видов оммастрефид. Illex illecebrosus illecebrosus обнаружен на Срединно-Атлантическом хребте (48°30’ - 56° с. ш.), I. i. coindeti — у Намибии (17° 30’ ю. ш.), считавшийся придонным І. і. argentinus ловился у поверхности над склоном и океаническими глубинами. Todaropsis eblanae найден в юго-западной части Индийского океана (банки Сая-де-Малья и Назарет) и в Тиморском море, Todarodes angolensis — у Новой Зеландии, о-вов Окленд, Кэмпбелл, юго-западнее и южнее Тасмании, Nototodarus sloani (возможно, особый подвид) — у южного Сомали и на банке Сая-де-Малья, Eucleoteuthis luminosa — в юго-восточной части Индийского океана и у о-ва Норфолк. Todarodes sagittatus широко распространен на Срединно-Атлантическом хребте и подводных поднятиях нетропической части северной Атлантики, в частности, подводных горах Кельвин и Угловом поднятии. Приводятся новые данные о распространении южной формы Ommastrephes bartrami: индо-океанская часть ее ареала обособлена от тихоокеанской. Нерестовые скопления этого вида наблюдали вблизи о-вов Идзу и Норфолк.
