| dc.description | The data on distribution, size composition, on energy balance features and behavior of ctenophora Mnemiopsis in winter-spring period and in the Black Sea has been discussed. At this period the species occurs in coastal waters sometimes like the bottom aggregations at the 20 - 60 m depth, where the temperature of water is usually higher than at the surface. The average length of individuals are 18 - 23 mm. Individuals by length of 5 - 10 mm are the modal size group of ctenophora sometimes they relate them by mistake to the winter - spring juveniles, while in fact, they are most probably adult animals, substantially, diminished in size due to deficiency of food source. Due to capability of ctenophora to considerably diminish in size, it is not possible to judge about the age composition of population on its size composition. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Проведен анализ имеющихся данных по распределению, размерному составу, особенностям энергетики и поведению гребневика мнемиопсиса в Черном море в зимне-весенний период. В это время вид встречается в прибрежных водах, в том числе в виде придонных скоплений на глубинах 20 - 60 м, где температура воды обычно выше, чем у поверхности. При средней длине особи 18-23 мм модальной размерной группой животных являются особи длиной 5-10 мм. Иногда их ошибочно относят к зимне-весенней молоди, хотя фактически это, скорее всего, взрослые животные, сильно сократившиеся в размерах из-за недостатка пищи. Из-за способности гребневиков значительно уменьшаться в размерах, невозможно судить о возрастном составе популяции по ее размерному составу. | en_US |
