Изучена возможность применения метода люминесцентного микроспектрального анализа для определения систематического положения клеток водорослей. Полученные данные указывают на возможность использования люминесцентных спектральных характеристик в качестве дополнительного критерия при определении систематического положения клеток водорослей.

The luminescence spectra were studied for single cells of certain sea algae species in the normal state and as affected by the spectrum visible region (436 nm) radiation. The initial luminescence spectra of green, diatomaceous, golden and brown algae are shown to differ insignificantly. Certain differences are found in changes of the spectra during photodestruction of interacellular luminescent compounds under the effect of the radiation exciting the luminescence. The luminescence spectra of the red and blue-green algae differ from those of representatives of other devisions because the former contain phicobilins, and this difference is most pronounced in the process of pigment photodestruction. The data obtained show that the luminescent spectral characteristics may be used as an additional criterion for determining the taxonomic position of algal cells.
