A short information is given on works of the Department of Organic Chemistry of the Odessa Technological Institute of Food Industry. The results are presented of studies in biochemical composition, polysaccharides in particular, of algae and development of technique for production of binders for obtaining granulated fodder from phyllophore und furcellaria.
