Values of active metabolism were measured in Leander adspersus. It was shown that the dependence of active metabolism upon the mass of the body was expressed by a trivial parabola. The dependence upon the velocity of the motion is also expressed by a parabolic curve with the constance of angle coefficient (2) and variability of the initial (m) which is function of the weight of the animals locomotion apparatus in shrimps is less economic than that in fish.
