Description

The laboratory devices for cultivation of macrophyte algae are described and critically analyzed. A developed laboratory device is presented which may be used in the long-term investigations on macrophyte algae of different morphological structure: filamentary, laminar and bushy. The device is equipped with the automatic units providing for both the constant and variable heat and illumination conditions. During the experiment one can sample the algae fragments at any time, that permits studying kinetics of the physiological-and-biochemical processes in algae under the combined effect of temperature, illumination and various concentrations of biogenic elements. The investigations may be performed with regard for the mathematical theory of planning of full factorial experiments (FFE) of the 3<sup>3</sup> type and fractional factorial experiments from 3<sup>4-1</sup> to 3<sup>13-10</sup>.
