Description
Physical and biological factors of the plankton community formation on the small-scale (tens m) level were analyzed. Irrespective of region of investigation the basic of the physical mechanisms in generation and support of the plankton spatial structure on the small-scale level at day time had been shown. The influence of biological (reproduction, migration) mechanisms on the small-scale plankton heterogenity grows up at night. Conclusion about high expressiveness of the biophysical (bioluminescent and sound volume backscattering strength) characteristics using as an index of the small-scale plankton community structureness is maked.
