The average values (for July-August) of phytoplankton production and organic matter destruction are presented for the Solomonov arm of the Danube, the Danube-Sasyk canal and the Sasyk reservoir where water is distinguished by the increased muddiness. The production-destruction ratio per 1 m2 of the surface and in the euphotic zone has been analyzed. The primary plankton production and organic matter destruction are considered for their distributions by the depth.
