Description
The comparative analysis of the ultrastructural features of the caecal organization, haptoral clamps, suckers and vitellarium of the chimaericolidean (Chimaericola leptogaster) and hexabothriidean (Rajonchocotyle emarginata and Callorthynchocotyle callorhynchi) monogeneans has been used to help evaluate the relationship of two basal polyopisthocotylean groups, the Chimaericolidae and Hexabothriidae.
