| dc.description | Bell contraction rate, the length of the way passed by R. pulmo for one contraction and the tractive effort value were determined in Rhizostoma pulmo (with a 4-17 cm diameter). On the basis of the obtained experimental data the theoretical points of these parameters were calculated for medusae with a 2-24 cm diameter by the method of least squares. The length of the way for 24 hrs, average velocity and value of work spent for the way overcoming were calculated from the obtained theoretical points. The work was expressed in oxygen equivalent and compared with the standard metabolism. The ratio of active metabolism to the standard one varies in R. pulmo within the limits of 3.1-6.6%. As compared with other organisms this ratio is one — two orders lower than that in Crangon vulgaris and Amphipoda, one-two orders higher than in Infusozia and three-four orders higher than in the Noctiluca genus. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Излагаются результаты наблюдений и экспериментов с медузой R. pulmo по определению темпа сокращений колокола, пути, проходимого за одно сокращение, и силы тяги. Рассчитаны средние скорости движения, длина пути, проходимого медузами в сутки, и величина работы, совершаемой ими на этом пути. Вычислен кислородный эквивалент работы. Установлено что отношение активного обмена к стандартному у медузы P. pulmo на один — два порядка ниже, чем у креветок и бокоплавов, на один — два порядка выше, чем у туфельки и на три — четыре порядка выше, чем у черноморской Noctiluca. | en_US |
