Роль детрита и гумуса в питании и балансе энергии веслоногого рачка Undinula darwini Scott.

Исследована роль свежего детрита и старого гумуса в питании тропического веслоногого рачка Undinula darwini. Показано, что значение свежего детрита аналогично роли живых водорослей, значение же гумуса ничтожно, хотя его усвоение вдвое выше, чем усвоение детрита. Обнаружено, что полное удовлетворение пищевых потребностей у изученных рачков, определенных по тратам на дыхание, происходит только при потреблении смешанной пищи растительного и животного происхождения.

Аннотация (alternative)

The article deals with vertical distribution and ratio of detritus, humus and live organisms in the Pacific tropical waters. The role of fresh detritus and old humus in the Undinula darwini energy balance is studied. It is found that fresh detritus (14% of body weight) is of the same importance for copepod nutrition as live algae (18%), and at the expense of humus (1.7% of body weight) the copepods meet only 1/17 portion of their respirative requirements. But efficiency of humus assimilation is twice as high as that of detritus. With detritus intake the indigested food is represented mainly by hard excrements feces. The daily ration of copepods fed on mixed (plant and animal) food which meets completely their food requirements is 2.2 times as high as that of copepods consuming detritus only and 50 times as high as their humus ration.
