Eutrophy and water mobility are studied for their joint effect on production parameters of Cystoseira, a natural population of the Black Sea brown alga. Using the data obtained possibilities are estimated to remove nitrogen from the eutrophied ecosystem as Cystoseira phytomass. A decrease of production parameters of Cysteseira population in the eutrophied ecosystem and elimination of the greater portion (96%) of the produced phytomass determine low efficiency of the above macrophyte application as a deeutrophicator. Cystoseira production may be thrice as high and may attain the level of non-eutrophied ecosystem under corresponding increase of water mobility. However, water mobility in the coastal zone is often insufficiently intensive for stimulation of production parameters of Cystoseira population, that causes the macrophyte oppression in the eutrophied ecosystem. The role of Cystoseira as a supplier of phytomass in polyspecies marine culture in the complex with phyto- and detritophages is of greater value than its deeutrophication one.
