Description
A study of the ecology of cephalopods is of particular interest in connection with their exceptional importance in the economics of fishing. Observation of S. oualaniensis and primary biological processing of the experimental species indicate this species may become the object of inductrial fishing in the Gulf of Aden. A number of indirect data, in particular the study of benthic sediments, furnish evidence that deep-water species of Symplectotenthis are numerous in the Gulf of Aden, which indicates this area is of potential value for fishery.
