A high-sensitive method is suggested which permits revealing (taking certain individuals) nutrition selectivity in zooplanktoners, their significance in eating-away and transformation of the substance as well as in regeneration of mineral phosphorus. Data on the microplankton consumption rate and efficiency of its utilization in copepods of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans are presented.
