Description
The data.on spawning of Psetta maeotica (Pallas) in the region of Sevastopol in spring, 1991 are presented. The abundance of the spawning herd has been stated to be restored to the level of the 50s. The intensive spawning of Psetta maeotica is limite by a narrow span of time (to two weeks). The most favourable temperature for Psetta maeotica spawning in the sea is 10—12°C. The main spawning site is located above depths of 40—50 m.
