The bioluminescent field spectrum is determined by means of a spectrobathyphotometer with three detectors. The spectrum maximum in the Black sea and in the tropical Atlantic is at 480 nm, the efficient band width at the level of 0.5 of the maximum being from 460 to 515 nm, and in the Mediterranean sea it is 10-15 nm shifted towards longwave region. Spectrum composition of bioluminescent field is determined by species specificity of light emission of the studied bioluminescents and by their amount.
