Certain methodical problems concerning fluorometric method of determining the chlorophyll a and pheophytin a concentration in phytoplankton are developed. Constant coefficients: maximal acid factor of fluorescence and a constant of calibration are measured for the apparatus designed at the Institute of Biology of Southern Seas of the Ukr. SSR Academy of Sciences. These coefficients have been used as a basis to derive the equations for calculation of the chlorophyll a and pheophytin a concentration.
