С помощью радиоуглеродного метода определена эффективность питания мизил N. mirabilis на растительном и животном детрите, меланине и живых перидиниевых водорослях.

An efficiency of the mysides N. mirabilis nutrition on vegetative and animal detritus, melanin and living Peridineae algae was determined by means of the radiocarbon method. The diurnal value of the «index of filling» of four suggested kinds of food was maximum on the living algae G. kowalevskii; animal detritus was consumed more effectively than vegetative one. The diurnal ration value of the animals with the excess Gymnodinium concentration was 15.7 and 30 times as high as detritus and melanin diurnal rations. Balance experiments concerning the dependence of the algae consumption and assimilation rate on the concentration showed that only the maximum of the suggested concentrations (1.6 mg/l of green weight) can meet the Mysidae food requirements.
