Helminth fauna of 1559 fish specimens (Myctophidae family) belonging to 15 genera and 33 species from the Indian and Atlantic oceans has been considered. 32 species of helminths have been revealed, about two thirds of them being larval forms. The composition of helminths in Myctophidae of the Indian and Atlantic oceans is stated to considerably differ from the poor species composition of helminths, that, probably, depends on the narrow nutrition spectrum of zooplankton whose infection by the helminth larvae is rather low.
