Abstract

Description

The intensity of nitrogen excretion is determined in Cephalopoda (octopuses, squids), Crustacea (isopods, euphausiids), Tunicata subphylum (salps) and fish fry. The measurings were carried out at a natural summer temperature of the animals existence. The excretion levels are expressed by the quantitative exponential equations. It is shown that the highest nitrogen excretion is in Cephalopoda and the least one in salps. Differences in the body composition of investigated species of animals are analyzed; the relation is discussed between the excretion levels, mobility and composition of the body.
