dc.description.abstractUsing myctophids as an example and taking into account their size and behavior, the catchability coefficient of midwater pelagic trawls and a towable macroplankton net, which was designed by V.V. Mel’nikov, to study the sonic scattering layers of the tropical Indian Ocean, was determined.
