Description
The comparison of Diplodus annularis from the Black Sea with one from the Mediterranean Sea on morphometric and meristic characters and skull’s morphology in presented. The differencies between make it possible to suppose that populations from the Black Sea form a distinct subspecies. But the final answer needs the investigations of more materials from different parts of the area of this species. The worth-while characters for such investigations are presented.
