dc.description | This article presents the results on antibiotic activity studies of Mexican algae — Halimeda opuntia and Sargassum natans, as well as the results of studies dealing with the action of water extracts from H. opuntia and S. natans on settling, further development and survival of balanus larvae. The author comes to the conclusion that macrophyte fouling is connected with antibiotic activity. However, the extent of macrophyte fouling in the sea also depends on the physical properties of surface, for instance, such as hydrophyllic, hydrophobic and rough surface. | en_US |
