The method of IR-spectroscopy has been used in the experiment to show that the processes of the transformation of resin substances are accelerated in the presence of Nereis diversicolor O. F. Muller. In this case the number of oxygen-containing compounds considerably decreases. Absorption of oxygen-containing groups and aromatic C=C bonds has been observed to increase in feces of Nereis by the end of the experiment (10 days). Certain differences in the composition of aromatic compounds in feces of Nereis and in the soil are noted.
