Oxygen consumption at different temperature was determine by the water current respirometer. The relative change in oxygen uptake is proportional to some exponential function of the animal's weight. This relation can be expressed by the equation: Q=0,100 W0,83, where Q is oxygen consumption in ml O2 per animal per hour at 20°C, W is weight of animal in gr. The received period is correlated with increase in O2 uptake. Within a 10—20°C the metabolic rate of Eriphia is affected by the temperature in such way as this reflecte by the «normal curve» by Krogh.
