Abstract
Description
It was shown that during swimming the content of fat in the muscles decreases whereas in the liver it remains unchanged. A comparison was made between the energy expenditure at the cost of fat in M. barbabus ponticus and in another Black Sea fish — Trachurus mediterraneus ponticus. A correlation was found with the hydrodynamic properties of these two species of fish.
