Представлены данные экспедиционных исследований по распределению и содержанию полихлорбифенилов (ПХБ) и хлорорганических соединений (ХОП) в северо-западной части Черноте моря. Дана оценка техногенного загрязнения региона и показано влияние сезонного и гидрологического факторов на содержание и распределение этих соединений в Черном море.
Аннотация (alternative)
The northwestern part of the Black Sea was inspected for the contamination by polichlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and organochlorine pesticides during a series of research cruises. The surface water is moderately polluted, while the bottom sediments - the basic PCB deposit - are badly contaminated. This is especially evident in the southwestern part of this region, and may be explained by dumping effect and special hydrological conditions. Almost all samples of bottom sediments contained the trace amounts of DDT, DDD, DDE and α- and γ-hexachlorocyclohexane; these pesticides enter into the sea with river run-off and drainage run-off from arable lands.
