The results of comparative investigations of the natural radionuclide 210Po accumulation by the Black Sea mussels from the Karadag and Sevastopol bays are presented. It is shown that this element may serve as an indicator of the ecological-biochemical characteristics of mollusks and the environmental condition in the areas of their dwelling.
