Content and composition of total lipids, phospholipids, fatty acids of tricylglycerols and of phospholipids of liver, muntle, fin, short and catch tentacles of two species squids with different locomotion activity - speedswimming Sthenotheuthis pteropus and slowswimming Thysanoteuthis rhombus was investigated. The concentration of lipids and principal their fractions was higher in tissues of slowswimming squid and content polyunsaturated fatty acids in particular 22 : 6 ω 3 was higher in speesswimming. Similar regularity noted for different tissues squidis in which the catch tentacles had minimum content lipids and the same time had maximum 18 : 1 in triacylglycerols and 22 : 6 ω 3 in phospholipids.
