The vertical transfer of an admixture into the layer 50-150 m by means of an elementary cell of vertical circulation is considered, when admixture concentrations at the top and bottom are different. By numerical solving the two-dimensional advective-diffusion equation, it is shown that horizontal diffusion between up and down fluxes causes the in-homogeneous distribution of the admixture concentration in depth within the cell. The criterion of vertical transfer blocking is received that involves the coefficient of the horizontal turbulent diffusion, vertical circulation intensity, cell height, and boundary concentrations of the admixture.
