Photoelectric method and a two-channel meter of the concentration of oxygen dissolved in water were used to study the chlorophos effect on the oxygen supply system, cardiac and respiratory rhythm of shrimps (Palaemon adspersus Pall.). It is shown that the most pronounced response to the toxicant occurs during the first minutes of the experiment. Differences in the degree and rate of chlorophos lesion of different links in the oxygen supply system are observed. It is shown possible to use shrimps for conducting toxicological experiments.
