The cycle of development of Diphterostomum brusinae Stossich from the Black Sea is revealed. The gastropods Nassa reticulata L. and Cyclonassa kamyschiensis Chenu are identified as first intermediate hosts, molluscs Venus gallina L., Meretrix rudis Poli, Spisula subtruncata da Costa, Gouldia minima Mont., Modiolus adriaticus Imk. and others-as additionary hosts (cercariae may also encyst on algae-stage of adolescaria) and, finally, Gobius niger L. and Diplodus annularis-as definitive hosts. It was experimentally established that Ceroaria inconstans Sinitzin is a larval stage of D. brusinae. D. sargus annularis Vlassenko, 1931 is brought to a synonym for D. brusinae (Stoss., 1889) Stossich, 1914.
