The reminescences about personal contacts and work in collaboration with Prof. V.A. Vodyanitsky then the director of Sevastopol Biological Station, later IBSS, are presented. That was the time when first the laboratory and then the department of radiation and chemical biology was founded, reorganized and progressed. Main results of principal investigations initiated during V.A. Vodyanitsky lifetime and continued after his death are reported.
