Анализ взглядов систематиков и изучение оригинального материала позволили признать правомочным и валидным род Wedlia Cobbold, 1860, характерными признаками которого являются отсутствие брюшной присоски, тело самца и самки одинаковые по форме и разделено на два отдела. Типичный вид: W. bipartita (Wedl, 1855) Cobbold, 1860. Род Koellikeria Cobbold, 1860 характеризуется наличием брюшной присоски, самец волосовидный, тело самки состоит из двух отделов, задний — подковообразный. Типичный и единственный вид: К. okeni (Kolliker, 1849) Cobbold, 1860. Отрицается правомочность рода Tricharrhen Poche, 1925.
Аннотация (alternative)
An analysis of the taxonomists views and studies in the original material permitted the Wedlia Cobbold, 1860 genus to be considered valid (no abdominal sucker, the body shape of the male and female is the same). The typical species is W. bipartite (Wedl, 1855) Cobbold, 1860. The Koellikeria Cobbold, 1860 genus differs in the presence of the abdominal sucker, the male is hair-like, the famale body consists of two sections, the posterior one is horseshoe-shaped. K. okeni (Kolliker, 1849) Cobbold, 1860 is the typical and the only species. The validity of the Tricharrhen Poche, 1925 genus is denied.
